Cannot handle gigabit

I tried making cables from 1 ft to 30 ft and not a single one of them can handle gigabit speeds. Every single one only gives 100mb. I used a wire tester to check the connectors, all checked out fine. Used a multi-meter to verify the readings from the wire tester, all good. Tried the crimp connectors and crimping tool on other verified gigabit ethernet cables I had laying around and they worked perfectly. The issue is the cable.

Trash cable

I tried practicing terminating this cable and its absolute trash and a waste if money. Its made of aluminum and easily breaks if moved around too much. Spend a bit more so you can get a cable that is made of pure copper.

Cheap cable, kinks easily

OK cable. Works at 1Gbps if you don't bend it (which is VERY easy to do). A big time-consuming annoyance is you can't pull the cable out of the box hole like normal without breaking it. You need to open the box and help it out. Overall it's a cheap option, I would never recommend this cable for anything that's not at your home. If you're installing for a customer/family friend I don't reccomend.

Be cautious. Getting 100Mbit max.

Avoid if you can and buy a reliable Cat6 cable. Here is my experience for the curious ones.Brought two of these. Installed cable throughout the new house just to find out that regardless of length, this cable is brittle and capped at max speed of 100Mbps (that is 10MB/sec).Even a better Cat5 cable provides 1Gbit at shorter distance. Initially I thought it was a connector module and a crimping tool, changed those to highest quality possible but no result.Went as far as trying out other cables to see if I was doing something wrong. I thought I was doing something wrong for two weeks just to realize it's the cable quality. Even purchased other brands and coupled shorter cables with connector; to my surprise 4 of quality cables (50ft each) coupled with LAN connector gave 1Gbit during the test. The sad part is not about the money, but trust and reliability of the product received.

Check it before you try to use it

The wire is decent after you throw away about 100'. It appeared as though they flattened out the spool before putting it in the box. After about 100' of flattened wire, it seemed OK, carried a current, and should be perfect fir what I need. Just a shame I had to waste so much to get to the good stuff
