Great product and excellent customer service

I used this Vivo mount bracket together with the Vivo dual-monitor mount. The two Vivo products go well together.Other user mentioned the problem with recessed VESA mounting common on some monitors, but this problem can be easily resolved by adding a chair pad in between the two plates. I even used a puncher to punch a hole in each pad, just to make installation easier. The only problem I had during installation was with the screws and bolts. I had to cut the screws shorter and use a wrench to tighten the bolts onto the screws. In this process, I accidentally broke one bolt. But Vivo then sent to me a whole packet of extra bolts. Thank you!Overall, great product! Hopefully Vivo can make it even better in the future by improving its design. Simply reduce size of the VESA mounting plate by a little bit, and it'll fit snugly into the recessed space.

Minor adjustment could make this work better for me…

In combination with a Mac Mini (2nd form factor generation) and an Acer EK220Q 21.5” monitor, there is a significant issue with installing the adapter behind the monitor. Because the VESA attachments are not centered vertically on the plate, mounting interferes with all of the connections on the Acer monitor. The cables attach to the monitor horizontally, slightly too close to the VESA mounting screw holes. I ended up installing the adapter sideways and used Command Strips to prevent the Mac Mini from slipping out of the strap and falling. If the VESA holes were duplicated closer to the lower edge of the adapter plate which attaches to the monitor (for the smaller VESA patterns), I could have mounted the plate to avoid blocking the ports on the monitor. If I had an appropriate metal drill bit and drill, I could have done this myself.Obviously, this problem is very specific to the design of the Acer monitor, a different arrangement of ports (such as on my circa 2011 Samsung monitor where the cables attached vertically from the bottom) would allow this adapter to work just fine as is. So be sure to verify the location and orientation of the ports on your monitor to save yourself some frustration. This is a very generic design sold by multiple vendors, so I doubt there will be any changes. Its very flexibility is the primary reason it’s not more easy to install. Should my needs change in the future, I should be able to adjust this adapter to suit many other uses and mounting options. It would have been nice if they had included a basic wrench. A simple strip of metal with the appropriate-sized hexagonal cutout would suffice. I have plenty of small phillips head screwdrivers since they are routinely included with external hard drive enclosures. A minor deal, but something that would make installation easier and faster while adding value.
