Review of the Keyboard tray holder

I devised a trick to stabilize this keyboard when creating a Frankenstein keyboard holder from the V100B pole and the PoleDB tray, which I believe is the same as this tray.

I needed my keyboard tray to sit lower on my desktop AND a longer arm than the PoleDB. I used the pole and arm from the V100B and the tray from the PoleKB unit to create a hybrid unit.

One issue I had is that because of the "slide-in" nature of the VESA adapter on the V100B arm, the keyboard tray wobbled left to right and you also could not slip the VESA adapter (from the V100B) if you had previously tightened the VESA slide plate tight to to the keyboard tray (from the PoleKB).

To slip in the VESA adapter on the PoleKB keyboard, you have to do it with the screws loose when on the PoleDB keyboard and tighten it up after sliding inthe VESA adapter .

To specifically cure the left to right wobble, I took some extremely small nails and pounded them in the space between the VESA adapter and its adapter fastened to the keyboard tray using a hammer initially and a chisel with a very small head. This did the trick as the keyboard no longer wobbles (hint hint hint to the engineering team to provide a similar solution or maybe threads and a screw to tighten down to get rid of the wobble ).

VIVO also needs to offer the Keyboard tray in maybe a 3/4 or 1/2 sized model for people like me also as I prefer the smallest keyboards I can get my hands on. I am a touch typist and prefer the smaller layouts and also like to preserve desk space. I give this a 5 since the VIVo models are compatible to mix and match and provide the perfect solution with a little ingenuity. To the naysayers on me giving this provider a 5, there is no Nirvana in creating a perfect workspace out of the box. You have to be creative to create that environment.

Good so far

This is just the tray. I used it on an old LCD mount with a separate vesa hinge. Works like a charm.

Sturdy

I was really impressed. I had a slight curve in my desk, but this worked. I was afraid it wouldn't be sturdy, but it is sturdy. I had ordered another drawer, but the track was too long and hit the arm in the middle of the desk. It is an automatic standing and sitting desk. I have been using this for 2 months and it's great!
