Works for me!

I read the reviews that this mount is shaky when mounted to their dslr. I have found that this is not a problem. I am using a sony zv-e10 with a sigma 16mm 1.4 lens. Its a small camera but the lens has a lot of weight. Its been rock solid mounted with the extra tall monitor arm. I leave it set up all the time as I do white board animation and talking head shots every day. I used to have a tripod set up and it was a pain to have to set up and tear down every day. I have dogs, cats kids running in and out of my office all day long, my set up has never been at risk. The thing I found to be the best thing is the studio is set up all the time, so if you want to create a quick video on a trend, or capture a thought for quick turn around, there is no barrier. Its a easy a turn on the lights, turn on the camera, action.Again with all my reviews, this is the best price point to get this vital piece of a home desk studio.

Great design - some issues

I really wanted to love this product. It's a terrific design solving a single purpose without unneeded "extras": adapt a VESA mount to hold a camera. But I found the item received did not quite live up to expectations.Pro: wonderful design for a very useful function; steel components are well made and the welded frame construction is rock solid; little or no competition for the function (VESA to camera and nothing else).Con: the M4 VESA screws are far too bulky and too long, interfering with both trim plates and the VESA arm mount plate, so I had to replace them with plain jane M4-8 fasteners; the 1/4-20 flat head screw was too short to reach the threads of a very popular model webcam, requiring yet another replacement; the (rubber) camera base adaptor's release mechanism does not clear the channel, requiring a forced removal. Conclusion: this item could be great, but the execution falls short. Will I buy again? If I need to mount another camera, probably yes, because there are few if any alternatives.

It works

The Instructions were simple and easy to understand. In my case, I used it as a base for my monitor mount. I have moved the monitor several times, and each transition was smooth.

Used to mount small teleprompter to monitor arm

Just be aware that it will sit flat for this purpose but there is no tilt up if you use it in the manner because of the way it attaches to the arm's VESA plate. Made well and cheap!

Functional

This mount gets the job done for a good price. I'm using it to mount a Canon EOS 5D Mark IV, though the size of the camera this bracket can handle is more dependant on the arm. There's nothing fancy going on here, but that's not why you pick this mount anyways. I do have one reservation that keeps me from giving 5 stars. The mount itself is not a tight fit, so the camera has some wiggle after it's secured into place. If you're not too concerned with perfect alignment then no big deal, but if you're looking for 100% reproduceable shot setup, this isn't there.
