This wire is stiff.. but it works

Bought this to do a run from my internet drop at the house to the home office.after some twists and turns and being shoved down some walls.. I got the jacks installed on both ends. The run is probably close to 75 ft.. I didn't measure it. Did a patch cable from the internet router to the first wall port for another 15 ft. From wall in my office to switch is another 5 ft, ish. I'm at ~90 ft from end to end.. I see 1gb connections all the way through. I just used some cheap modular cat 6 rj45's I got at microcenter for the patch cables and cheap cat 6 rated wall ports with a 110 punchdown connection I got at home depot for the home run back to the internet. The cable is stiff.. more so than is normal. Really sucks when you're terminating a lot of it... Some of it is due to the stiff jacketing. My strain relief boots BARELY fit over it.. and it's either the cable is on the large side of things, or the boots are on the small side of things. The cable being stiff made it a little more difficult running through the walls. If it was through cable tray it'd not have been an issue. The cable likes to stay coiled.. it's taken a set and that is annoying. All that said.. I cannot address the other folks comments about it being cat 6 or not. It's built just like pretty much every other cable I've had that was cat 6... I don't own the equipment to see if it's passing the correct frequencies in the test or if it'll support 10gb at 100ft... but so far every single connection I've done with it has been 1 GB.

Great value and great quality

I see some reviews on here from people claiming that they can't get their cable to certify to CAT 6. I have had no problems certifying any run I have made with this cable to CAT 6. I will say that you need to make sure you care keeping your runs under 324ft, and that you are keeping these runs away from noisy electrical sources (like fluorescent light ballasts). Maybe others are getting a bad batch or something, but I had no problem with mine.

Very good cable. A little pricy.
