the table top and metal portion are treated as separate items. The instructions for the table top are with the table (and intially missed by me in the box) . I did not notice the pre-drilled leg support holes until after some time. I think it would be nice to pre-drill the controller on all 4 corners incase I wanted to flip the table around seeing the controller would be better on the left rather than the right without unscrewing the legs. There are only controller holes on one side and due to the motor being fixed on one side and short controller wires to move the controller to the other side (without drilling your own holes) would require the legs of the table to be switched.
Since the table top is not included as part of the specifications of the leg hardware, the specifications of the leg hardware do not take into account the table top weight or the 1 " thickness. This means the range of the table top is 1" higher than the low\high specifications. It also means the weight of the table needs to be subracted from the 176 lbs of the weight the motor can support. I would guess the top weighs 50 lbs by itself (can't find the weight listed on DESK-TOP71P). So, that would cut your support weight of the motor to probably less than 125 lbs (I would keep it less than 100 lbs to be safe.

Motor is very very quiet and the speed is good (both much better than I suspected).
The wood top was good and pre-drilled. It appears to be very good quality and could probably support someone standing on it (do not use the motor in this case or it would probably be ruined)
Does not wobble, seems pretty sturdy. My 6' 5" son does not have any issues. I think he has 3 or 4 inches to spare. I chose this hardware because it had the highest rise at 51.4" (not including the top thickness) and a minimum of 25.6" which is lower than the previous fold out table.
One plus is setting the table to the minimum height, you can move through doorways and narrow hallways a lot easier.
I would buy again.

I received a top that was broken in shipping. By the end of the same day, they were shipping a new one which I received 3 days later. Once I received the new top the desk went together easily and seems really sturdy so far.

It's perfect for what we were looking for. We haven't had any problems with it and it's very sturdy. It moves smoothly when it's operated.

If you require your desk to be flushed against a wall or have a specific depth requirement of under 24 this may not be the desk for you. To my surprise the feet of the desk are longer, specifically the feet depth is 27.5 inches versus the desk top depth of 24. This means when the desk is pushed up against my wall and an inch of decorative molding on the floor leaves a three inch gap between the desk and the wall. As of writing this review the product description does not mention this depth difference. Only mentions the depth of 24. Not satisfied so proceed with caution.
