I returned the product because I was unsure of the stability and plus it didn't fit the table I was going to use as a desk .. the clamps were not long enough to grab beyond the edge. I am sure it is an awesome product but for what I needed it did not work.
it needs 1 more inch to accommodate a trackball. but they do sell an extension to lower this tray for additional 3 inches. It could have built into the original product.
This worked great on my gaming computer desk that was a little too tall for my comfort. The tray was easy to install, stable and fit both my keyboard and mouse on it.
The unit does make your key board more ergonomic. It’s very sturdy and easy to install. It’s a little tight to move backwards & forward, but it stabilizes the keyboard from sliding forwards. Great product!
I've owned this tray (and the corresponding standing desk) for around 18 months and it's as annoying and disappointing as the negative reviews say it is.• The tray will roll back under the desktop of its own accord• There isn't enough clearance to use the keyboard or mouse without pulling the tray out• The screws that fasten the tray to the mounting brackets are indeed too short and begin coming out over time. I'm typing this with my keyboard in my lap, as the last screw on the right side has popped out and disappeared into whatever abyss small screws disappear into, rendering the tray unusableI regret spending the money on both the tray and the standing desk. A standing desk sounds good in theory, but with all the wired electronics on my desktop and the low speed of the height mechanism, I never use the standing feature. That's on me, but if you're in the market for a standing desk, perhaps you should ask yourself if you would do things differently. In retrospect, I wish I had just searched for a conventional desk with a built-in keyboard tray instead of this flimsy, modular garbage.
